Outpost-to-Outpost Travel Routes!
Hey, crew!
This week, I’m finally able to turn on the core “travel route” feature. Now, when you fire up the game, every time you approach a system with an outpost (the ones with the rings), paths to a handful of neighboring outpost systems will appear. This will be helpful in understanding the map layout and also with some of our more timid captains looking for a safer path to travel.
But this core feature is actually much larger as it the framework to support all sorts of things like waypoints, wormholes, and nav beacons, all of which are currently part of the ANOMALIES update that I’m working on. Pretty exciting for me, tbh.
If you haven’t already, take a second to join The Voltur Nest Discord! That’s where I post stuff like this, but it’s much more conversational. I’d love to see you drop in!
Here’s what’s in this update:
- Outpost Travel Routes - outpost-to-outpost paths
- Improved Sector Zoom - You can now zoom out to x4 in sector space and x14 in the sector map.
As always, your feedback and support has helped me make this game better and I’m eternally grateful for that.
May Sol be forever at your back,
-Voltur
